Remarks
. The original description included the presence of jaws; they are certainly not present in
Chloeia
.
This might imply an eunicid rather than an amphinomid.
Grube (1850: 288)
and
Baird (1868: 235)
noted that
Audouin & Milne-Edwards (1833: 192)
indicated
C. rupestris
does not belong in
Amphinomidae
because it was described with jaws. The status of the species has been regarded as indeterminable by
Hartman (1959: 132)
