It was described from Egypt and is further recorded from the Afrotropical Region: Aldabra, Burundi , Cameroun , Democratic Republic of Congo , Ethiopia , Gambia , Ghana , Kenya , Madagascar , Namibia , Nigeria , Seychelles , Sudan , Tanzania , Uganda and United Arab Emirates ; Australasian Region: Papua New Guinea ; Palaearctic Region: Egypt and Jordan . Remark. Until recently both Paralimna bicolor and P. lineata have been reported under the name P. aequalis Cresson, 1929 .
