H. pretneri differs from congeners by some gonopodal structures, viz., 1) simple, rounded posterior lamella not bent down in an extensions (vs. bilobed posterior lamella in H. faucium , H. filicis , H. inflata and H. gruberi sp. nov. ; posterior lamella with distal notch in H. flavescens and H. hungarica ; posterior lamella ear-shaped and bent down in an extensions in H. fonticulorum and H. germanica ), 2) strong tooth on posterodistal margin of mesal process (vs. mesal process knife-like with posterobasal tooth in H. vidinensis or posterodistal margin of mesal process with several teeth in H. musimontium ) 3) absence of anterior lateral process (vs. developed in H. cyanopida , H. lacusnigri , H. intermedia , H. microcorna , H. makarovi sp. nov. , and H. plasana ). Type material examined: Lectotype ♂ ( MHNG ), here designated, body in two parts, mounted on cardboard; one microslide: Orobainosoma (Br.) pretneri Strass. 18.6.55. Jazbinska jama. Podkum. Slow. (752/14), anterior and posterior gonopods, pleurotergite 7, leg-pair 10. Distribution ( Fig. 38 , 41 ). Slovenia : Known only from its type locality, Jama pri Jazbinah, near Podkum ( Strasser 1966 ). Comment. Up to now only one male and one juvenile of this species are known.
