This new species is similar to M. brevisector Alexander, 1931 , but it can be separated from the latter in the following features: CuA1 meeting M3 at a point; posterior margin of tergite 9 with a shallow U-shaped incision; dorsal crest of clasper of gonostylus flat. In M. brevisector , the vein CuA1 is fused with M3 for a short distance; the posterior margin of tergite 9 has a deep U-shaped notch; the dorsal crest of the clasper of the gonostylus is convex ( Alexander 1931 ). Etymology. Name of the new species refers to the flat dorsal crest of the clasper of gonostylus.
