Euro-Siberian species recorded from Italy , Austria , Bulgaria , Croatia , Czech Republic , Greece , Hungary , Moldavia , Romania , Slovakia , Russia (Central and South European Territory, West and East Siberia), Ukraine ; Armenia , Azerbaijan , Israel , Kazakhstan , Syria , and Turkey ( AKRAMOVSKAJA 1959 , LIS 1999 , PROTIĆ 2001 ). Previous records from Armenia ( AKRAMOVSKAJA 1959) were neglected by LIS (1999) . The biology of this species is poorly known; in central Europe it inhabits xerothermic biotopes on various substrates (sands, eruptive rocks, limestones). It lives on plants of the family Boraginaceae ( Echium vulgare L., Anchusa officinalis L.) ( STEHLÍK 1983 , STEHLÍK & VAVŘÍNOVÁ 1991, KMENT et al. 2003 ). Confirmed occurrence in Armenia .
