The specimen illustrated by Salazar Escobar (2005) has the same wing venation and general body markings as specimens of P. invaria in the author’s collection from Colombia . Analysis of a picture of the specimen in the UNCC confirmed the identity. The species has been recorded from Costa Rica , Colombia , Ecuador , Peru , Brazil , Guyana , French Guiana, Honduras , Antilles and Central and South America ( Metcalf 1963a ; Duffels and van der Laan 1985 ; Sanborn 2007a , 2010 ). The species has been reported from Valle , Río Garrapatas and Valle , Río Dovio in Colombia ( Salazar Escobar 2005 ). Material examined.
