Diagnosis.
This species is distinguished from its allies by having an extremely large trapezoidal, black costal patch and an expansible long hair pencil near the base on the underside of the forewing. The male genitalia are characterized by the left valva with a broad expansion near base on ventral margin and the right valva foot-shaped with modified palmate scales along the ventral margin beyond 1/3.
