Labriphimedia pulchridentata ( Stebbing, 1888 ) was collected at “seamount 8” 605–709 m (NIWA 40808) and Hjort Seamount) 676–750 m (AM P87292) on the Macquarie Ridge. Figure 8 shows L. pulchridentata shortly after capture. The body is translucent white, light rose coloured; the large oval eye red orange. This species is unique in the iphimediids ( Coleman 2007 ) in having this specific dorsal armature, bicuspidate coxae 5–7 and such impressive teeth on bases 5–7.
