Female: Body fusiform, 188 long, shield 35 long, 67 wide, shield lobe present, shield design with a network of cells, with a tier of 12 cells along anterolateral shield margin, 5 cells occurring in middle, 2 cells on rear of shield; scapular tubercles present, set ahead of rear shield margin, DtDt 26, setae absent; leg segment genua absent from both legs, fore tibial and fore and hind femoral setae absent; coxal area smooth; 1st coxal tubercle and setae absent, 2nd coxal setae (1a) 13 long, Ct2Ct2 9 apart, 3rd coxal setae (2a) 21 long, Ct3Ct3 28 apart, Ct2\CT3 19, Ct2Ct3 12; claw ending as knob; empodium divided, 5 rayed.
Opisthosoma: arched, dorsal annuli with about 51 annuli, first 3 dorsal annuli 7 long; ventral annuli with about 68 microtuberculate annuli; lateral tubercle and setae absent, 1st ventral setae (d) 9 long, Vt1Vt1 45 apart; Vt1\Vt2 53, Vt1Vt2 41; 2nd ventral setae (e) 7 long; Vt2Vt2 25 apart, Vt2\Vt3 52, Vt2Vt3 45; 3rd ventral setae (f) 19 long, Vt3Vt3 28 apart; accessory setae (h1) present.
Epigynium: 27 wide, 19 long, smooth, genital setae (3a) 6 long, GtGt 20 apart.
Male: 169 long, shield 32 long, 66 wide, DtDt 20; genitalia 18 wide, 8 long, setae 6 long, GtGt 18 apart.

Relation to host: A vagrant on the lower leaf surface. No apparent damage was observed.
Note: This new species is close to
D. formosanus
Huang, 2005
but differs in the presence of the scapular tubercle, and the 5rayed empodium.
