Tolianus diversithorax Pic, 1921 a: 3 . Plateros diversithorax ( Pic, 1921 a ) : Bocakova, 2001 : 75 . Type material: Holotype , female, "Nord Celebes, Toli Toli, Nov­Dez 1895 , H. Fruhstorfer" ( MNHP ). Diagnosis . P. t o l i e n s i s nom. n. differs from similar P. flavidus in the apparently projected frontal margin of pronotum and dark brown to black legs and basal antennomeres. Both species differ from lightly coloured P. lalui sp. n. in the serrate female antennae. Redescription of female . Body moderately slender, flat, light brown to yellow, only abdomen, metathorax, antennae, and eyes dark brown to black. Head small, with interocular distance much longer than eye diameter, eyes hemispherically prominent. Antennal tubercles inconspicuous, antennomere 3 serrate, following antennomeres missing. Antennae with relatively short pubescence. Pronotum transverse, 1.45 times wider than long at midline. Pronotal disc shining, covered with light, moderately long pubescence. Frontal margin of pronotum rounded, considerably projected. Frontal angles inconspicuous, widely rounded. Lateral margins straight, posterior angles only very slightly projected. Elytra 3.75 times longer than wide at humeri, with fine longitudinal and transverse costae. Male unknown. Distribution . Known only from Toli Toli in Northern Sulawesi. Measurements : BL 10.9 mm , WH 2.53 mm , PL 1.68 mm , PW 2.42 mm . Remark . Bocakova ( 2001 ) synonymized genera Tolianus Pic, 1921 a and Microplateros Pic, 1921 a with Plateros , and consequently the name Plateros diversithorax ( Pic. 1921 a: 3 ) is a junior secondary homonym of Plateros diversithorax ( Pic, 1921 a: 2 ) .
