Collection localities in New Brunswick, Canada of Cossonus americanus . Collection and habitat data. O'Brien (1997) reported Populus balsamifera as a host for this species. Specimens of Cossonus americanus were captured during June and July in Lindgren funnel traps in an old red pine forest and an old red oak forest. Distribution in Canada and Alaska. QC, NB, NS, NF ( McNamara 1991c ).
