Etymology
. Species name is a patronym in honour of our colleague Tatiana Tuneva (Yekaterinburg), a Russian arachnologist who studies gnaphosids.
Diagnosis
. The new species differs from all known congeners by the scape with two pockets (or sockets, (
Pp
) (one pocket in other species), triangle shaped fovea and high (anterior) position of lateral margins pockets. The epigyne of
G. tunevae
sp. n.
is similar to that of
Gnaphosa
sp.
2 in
Marusik & Logunov (1995: f. 65) from Tuva, but the two species differ by shape of the vulva and scape.
Description
. Total length 9.75. Carapace 4.7 long, 3.2 wide. Carapace dark brown with two diverging wide stripes going forward from fovea (
Fig. 31
). Edges somewhat darker than other part of carapace. Sternum, labium, maxillae dark and chelicerae brown. Abdomen grayish with four spots in upper part of dorsal side. Legs brown. Metatarsi and tarsi of leg I and II with scopulae.
