Status in the Arabian Peninsula. First record from Oman by Esmaeili et al. (2022) ; confirmed by Esmaeili et al. (2023) . General distribution. Indo-West Pacific: Comoros , Seychelles ; Indonesia east to Micronesia and French Polynesia , north to Ibaraki Prefecture ( Japan ), south to northern Australia and New Caledonia . Habitat: freshwater, brackish, marine. Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula. Oman : It was reported for the first time from one locality ( Dhofar Governorate , Salalah, Wadi Hasik) located in the inland water body of Oman adjacent to the shore of the Arabian Sea ( Esmaeili et al. 2022 ; Esmaeili et al. 2023 ).
