widely occur in vegetable and cereal fermentations and as beer-spoilage organisms and were also isolated from insects. Niche adaptation is mediated by acquisition of plasmids [

Isolated from milk, cheese, sauerkraut and rrelated vegetable fermentations, sourdough, silage, cow manure, faeces, andthe mouth and intestinal tract of humans and rats.
