Type-locality: China , Sichuan, Ta-tsien-lou. Holotype ♀ (BMNH). Mimopsestis determinata Bryk, 1943 : 12 , pl. 2: 21. Type-locality: Burma . Holotype ♀ (NHRS). Distribution. China (Shaanxi, Gansu, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan, Yunnan), Myanmar . Remarks. Zhao (2004) placed this species under the genus Tethea and recorded a female from Zhangjiajie in Hunan. Although this species was not included in Zhao (1992) , this single female specimen must be part of material from the Institute of Forestry Sciences of Hunan. We did not find this specimen, but nevertheless continue to include this area provisionally. The distribution record of “ India ” in Zhao (2004) is not traceable, so we omit this area. A male from Wenhai, Lijiang, Yunnan ( 3097 m , 19.VI.2009 , coll. Han Hongxiang, slide no. Drep-00857) has some differences in male genitalia from the typical P. pseudomaculata ( Houlbert, 1921 ) . Its valva is somewhat broader, the aedeagus is stouter and shorter, with a quite differently shaped carinal hook. However, there is little external difference between this male and P. pseudomaculata . Its taxonomic position can be fixed only when more material is obtained.
