Remarks. Previous records on the coast of São Paulo include Ubatuba ( Mantelatto & Fransozo 2000 ; Bertini et al. 2004; Alves et al. 2012b ; 2013b ) and Ilha Vitória ( Alves et al. 2012a ). Pilumnus reticulatus has two distinct forms, the fragosa and the tesselata. Both forms occur in Brazil ( Rathbun 1930 ; Magalhães & Mantelatto in prep.), what may have generated the idea of continuous occurrence in Brazil considering as single species cited in most references, but this species distribution must be viewed with caution. Sequences accession number (GenBank): CCDB 3617—16S ( MF504065 ), COI ( MF504142 ) ( Mantelatto et al. 2018a ).
