Distribution. Russia (S RFE: SW * Sakhalin , S Kurils—Kunashir ( Rybalkin et al . 2022 ), S Khabarovskii Krai, Primorskii Krai), Japan ( Hokkaido , Honshu, Shikoku, Tsushima), South Korea . Remarks. The finding of I. evanescens in Sakhalin significantly expands its distribution range to the northeast. Both examined specimens, as well as the moth from Kunashir ( Rybalkin et al . 2022 , fig. 34) possess unusually light coloration of wings, which is also occurs in the moths from Hokkaido . The known hostplant in Japan is Quercus mongolica subsp. crispula ( Fagaceae ), which is widely, but sparsely occurs in S Sakhalin as well.
