[mis-spelling of an abbreviation of Parrott]/ on Ficus carica L. ( Moraceae )/ coll. H. Faghih (HMIM). Comment: Saissetia miranda was described originally from Mexico ; it is now much more widespread, but has not been recorded from Africa ( García Morales et al. 2016 ). The species is polyphagous, with a wide range of host plants. It has been recorded previously from Iran on Melia azedarach L. ( Meliaceae ) ( Moghaddam et al . 2015 ); here it is recorded as a pest of F. carica (Moraceae) from Estahban, Fars province , for the first time.
