SUPERFAMILY
CHARACTERS
. — Shells turriculate to oviform, of medium size to large. Whorls concave to moderately convex. Growth lines adapically reflected. Aperture with expanded inductura, narrow subsutural notch and siphonal notch or canal; plaits, if present, most prominent before the final 1½ whorls, decreasing in size towards aperture.
