In Myanmar, found in Ayarwady, Rakhine, Taninthayi, and Yangon. Conservation status. Least Concern [LC] ( IUCN 2017 ). Uses. Shoot : Used to treat snakebite. Leaf : Used for rheumatism. Notes. The medicinal uses of this species in India are discussed in Jain and DeFilipps (1991) as follows: Stem- anti-cancer; root- also anti-cancer, and for chronic fever.
