It was found in Cuba ( Perez-Gelabert and Yong 2014 ; Cigliano et al. 2018 ). Armasius iberianus Perez-Gelabert and Yong, 2014 is the unique species in the genus, which presents the unique characteristic among Neotropical Cladonotinae of a lateral lobe of the pronotum modified as a sharp projection with triangular shape (male) ( Yong 2017 ) or forming a spine (female) ( Perez-Gelabert and Yong 2014 ).
