Peru . Examined material. HT ♂ (CTs at ZIRA ). Note. This species is only known from the HT ♂. It is the only Blennidus species with two close setigerous punctures on the margin of anterior half of pronotum; the actual consistency of this character should be verified on more abundant material, as the presence of additional setae is possible on aberrant specimens. In fact, the CSt collection contains an unidentified specimen, likely referable to Blennidus languens ( Tschitschérine, 1898 ) , with two close setae on the right anterior margin of pronotum. As far as other features are concerned, B. euphaenops is rather similar to B. vereshaginae ( Straneo, 1993 ) .
