It is very similar to P.longiceps in general body features, but is distinguished by the the dark base of fore wings and male sternites with broad oval pore plate, whereas in P. longiceps the fore wings are completely pale and the male pore plate smaller and round ( Minoura & Masumoto 2016 ).
