This grass living species was described from
South Africa
with one synonym from
Taiwan
, and is widely distributed in Southeast Asia (
Minaei & Bami 2018
). It is very similar to
P.longiceps
in general body features, but is distinguished by the the dark base of fore wings and male sternites with broad oval pore plate, whereas in
P. longiceps
the fore wings are completely pale and the male pore plate smaller and round (
Minoura & Masumoto 2016
).
