P1 (Pl. II: Fig. 12) 2013 Cryptophyllus sp. P1; Maillet: 98, pl. XII, fig. 2. Material. 11 specimens (3 C, 7 V , 1 F). Description. Medium-sized carapace, sub-triangular in lateral view. Moult retention ostracod with at least 6 exuviae. Large exuviae, slender posteriorly. Straight dorsal margin. Rounded umbo prominent over dorsal margin at 2/5 posterior. Anterior cardinal angle of about 150°. Posterior one of about 130°. Free margins of the carapace describing a regular bow. Anterior and posterior margins flattened. Anterior part of the carapace slightly wider and higher than posterior one. Hmax at 2/5 posterior; Lmax almost median; Wmax clearly dorsal and slightly posterior (umbo). Overlap of the valves unknown. Surface smooth. Discussion. This morphology is similar to C. sp. C of Maillet (2013) from the Givetian of the Ardenne. Occurrence. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mbs A and B), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
