The penis rectangular at the proximal half and thin and slender at the distal half. Type species Khayajehia dianae n. sp. Etymology — Named after the Haq-ol-Khayajeh village where the type species was collected. Differentiating diagnosis — The unique morphology of the penis (broad and rectangular in proximal part and elongated and slender in distal part) is characteristic for the new genus, not known from any other hydrobiid genus.
