Alstroemeria salsilla
Linnaeus
,
Planta Alstromeria
: 10. 1762
.
"Habitat in Chili in declivitate montis cujusdam." RCN: 2524.
Lectotype
(designated here by Hofreiter): [icon]
"
Hemerocallis scandens
floribus purpureis, vulgo salsilla"
in
Feuillee
, J. Obs. 2: 713, t. 6. 1714. -
Epitype
(designated here by Hofreiter): Chile. Concepcion,
Kuestenkordillere
zwischen Santa Juana und Coronel, 21 Dec 1968,
Merxmueller
s.n.
(M).
Current name:
Bomarea salsilla
(L.) Mirb.
(
Liliaceae
/
Alstroemeriaceae
).
Note:
Hofreiter (in
Feddes Repert.
117: 391, f. 1A. 2006) treated a plate cited from
Feuillee
as the type, and designated a
Merxmueller
collection (M) from Chile as an
epitype
. However, this
lectotype
choice was published after 1 Jan 2001 and so the omission of the phrase "designated here" or an equivalent (Art. 7.11) means that the choice is not effective. However, this
lectotype
choice, and that of the dependent
epitype
, is formalised here.
