KARYOTYPE (

). We analyzed
one male
from locality Kampung Genting. The chromosomes are small and the possible effect of an early segregation of some chromosomes during observed late metaphase I prevented us from exactly specifying 2n (
Fig. 122
). The diploid number of chromosomes is most likely 124 or 126. We did not measure the length of the chromosomes because of the low number of suitable cells. However, several exceptionally small chromosomes are evident in this species. We did not observe chiasmata during meiosis.
