Etymology.
The specific name comes from the Latin word “
foliacea
”, meaning “foliiform”, and refers to the shape of brown portion in the median stripe of abdominal dorsum.
Diagnosis.
This species can be distinguished from other
Wolongia
species by the combination of the following characters: 1) copulatory opening located at the posterior half of the atrium (
Figs 13
C, 14B); 2) spermatheca membranous, slightly longer than wide in dorsal view (
Figs 13
D, 14C); 3) atria connected (
Figs 13
C, 14B). This species is similar to
W. mutica
n. sp.
in having larger atrium (
Figs 13
C, 14B, 20B, 22A), but differs in: 1) copulatory opening located at the posterior half of the atrium versus at the top of atrium in
W. mutica
n. sp.
(
Figs 20
B, 22A); 2) spermatheca slightly longer than wide in dorsal view versus three times longer than wide in
W. mutica
n. sp.
(
Figs 20
C, 22B).
