Scattered distribution in western and southeastern Europe (Pollet 2017).

Ecology.
The single Portuguese specimen was collected in a marshland with
Phragmites australis
,
Typha latifolia
and several
Cyperaceae
. Among the most common trees in the area were
Salix
spp.
,
Alnus glutinosa
,
Fraxinus angustifolia
,
Populus nigra
and
Quercus
spp.
Its habitat in Europe can be described as open grassland or marshland mostly bordering large stagnant water bodies, often flooded during winter and spring, and drying out during summer.” (Pollet 2017).
