Etymology
. The species name is a noun in apposition taken from the Sinhalese word for “peace.”
Diagnosis.
Females can be diagnosed from female of other
Devendra
species by having the epigynum without a developed median lobe (
Fig. 13A
), and the vulva with the head of the spermathecae sessile on the main spermathecae and the fertilization ducts arising from a short tube (
Fig. 13B, C
).
DesCription.
Female (
holotype
): Total length 5.17. Markings as in
Fig. 9A
. Carapace 2.42 long, 1.67 wide, 0.96 high; clypeus 0.07 high. Eye diameters: AME 0.07, ALE 0.10, PME 0.10, PLE 0.10. Chelicerae 1.08 long; sternum 1.06 long, 0.92 wide; labium 0.40 long; palpal coxae 0.72 long. Spination as in genus description. Leg measurements (Femur + Patella + Tibia + Metatarsus + Tarsus = [Total]): I: 1.50 + 0.75 + 0.56 + 0.54 + 0.44 = 3.79; II: 1.37 + 0.71 + 1.00 + 0.96 + 0.83 = 4.87; III: 0.88 + 0.50 + 0.83 + 1.25 + 0.83 = 4.29; IV: 1.75 + 0.62 + 1.37 + 2.08 + 1.12 = 6.44. Leg formula 4123. Epigynum: subtriangular epigynal plate; transverse fold dividing median lobe and lateral lobes (
Fig. 13A, B
). Spermathecae oval with an apical glandular opening (
