Distribution.
China
(Yunnan, Hainan),
Thailand
Remarks.
This species was described from
Thailand
by
Kitbamroong & Freytag (1978)
. Subsequently,
S. albotaeniatus
was described from Yunnan,
China
by
Kuoh (1986)
based on one female specimen and synonymized with
S. maai
by Zhang (1990).
S. maai
has similar appearance to
S.coniceus
,
S. intermedius
and
S. kumamotonis
, but it can be easily differentiated by its peculiar male genitalia structures. The shape of the pygofer in
S.maai
is not as elongate as in the other two species, the connective processes are more slender and the aedeagus is of different shape.
