Material examined.
Several valves and more than one dozen fragments from
EI
and
SyG
(BK), plus specimens from the Hawaiian Islands (
MHU
),
Fiji
(BK),
Australia
(BK) and Okinawa (BK).
Diagnosis.
Shell small, thin, oblique and rather flat; RV slightly more convex than the LV; both valves carry 8– 10 low, radial ribs or folds, which are sparsely covered with thorn-like curved scales; auricles equal. Color variable from red, cream or light purple; RV paler.
