Chubut : Escuel, La Hoya , 800–1350m , 1♀ 25.ii.1979 (Mision Cientifica Danesa) . Diagnosis. Very dark due to extensive coverage of brownish black pruinosity; frontal and facial parts of head velvety brownish black, darkest on frontal vitta; prementum, thorax and abdomen with dark subshine, wing smoky dark brown, calypteres ochre brown; halter black. Acrostichals forming two regular rows of setae behind suture; two subequal intraalar setae; meron with some tiny, anterior-directed setulae beneath spiracle. Male. Frons on upper part decidedly narrower than ocellar tubercle, with linear fronto-orbital plates well separated by frontal vitta; fronto-orbital plates each without orbital setae and with 3 frontal setae; frontal vitta with a pair of interfrontal setae. Sternite V with long tapering posterior lobes; upper epandrium prominent, heel-shaped; surstyli slender throughout. Female. Frontal setae 3–4 pairs. Spermathecal ducts of normal length, very slender. Distribution. Argentina ( Fig. 7 , black dots).
