FIGURES 2–7. Caayguara cupepemassu sp. nov. 2 male, right chelicerae, ventral view; 3 male, metatarsus I, trilobate membrane, dorsal view; 4 male, tarsus I, trichobothria, dorsal view; 5 male, tarsus I, tarsal organ, dorsal view; 6 male, tarsus I, claws, prolateral view; 6 female, pedipalp claw, prolateral view. Diagnosis. Caayguara albus ( Mello-Leitão, 1918 ) resembles C. pinda sp. nov. by the general conformation of the male palp, with the distal region of the embolus strongly curved and tegular projections arising medially close to the base of the conductor ( Figs 14 , 19; tp), and female epigynum, with an anterior medium septum at least twice as long as wide ( Figs 16 , 21). It can be distinguished from the latter species by the massive RTA with a thick distal hook ( Fig. 15 ) and by the long, distally blunt tegular projection ( Figs 14– 15 ; tp) of the male palp, by the champagne flute shape of the medium septum ( Fig. 16 ; MS) in the female epigynum, and by the vulva with larger number of lobes on the posterior part (pp) of the copulatory duct ( Fig. 17 ). FIGURES 8–13. Caayguara cupepemassu sp. nov. 8 male, anterior lateral spinneret; 9 ditto, detail; 10 female, anterior lateral spinneret; 11 ditto, detail; 12 male, median spinneret; 13 male, posterior lateral spinneret (AC = aciniform gland spigots; MAP = major ampullate gland spigots; mAP = minor ampullate gland spigots; N = nubbin; PI = piriform gland spigots; T = tartipore). FIGURES 14–18. Caayguara albus (Mello-Leitão) comb. nov. 14 male, left palp, ventral view (vk = ventral keel; sp = subdistal projection; tp = tegular projection; VTA = ventral tibial apophysis); 15 ditto, retrolateral view (bl = basal lobe; sl = subdistal lobe); 16 female, epigynum, ventral view (LL = lateral lobe; MS = median septum); 17 ditto, vulva, dorsal view; 18 schematic course of internal duct system (ap = anterior part of copulatory duct; fd = fertilization duct; mp = median part of copulatory duct; pp = posterior part of copulatory duct). Scale lines: 0.5 mm. Redescription. Male (MZSP 31775): Dorsal shield of prosoma, chelicerae, legs and pedipalps pale yellow. Sternum pale yellow with slightly darker margins. Labium and endites cream colored. Opisthosoma cream colored. Total length 6.9. Prosoma: 2.8 long, 3.8 wide. Opisthosoma: 4.0 long, 1.8 wide.
