Microtus pennsylvanicus from USA (Patience Island) ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ). Hosts and distribution. This species is associated with Nearctic arvicolines of the genus Microtus ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ; Dubinina & Bochkov 1996 ). Its record from Microtus pinetorum in the USA ( Indiana and Maryland ) ( Drummond 1957 ; Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ) should been referred to Radfordia pitymys sp. nov. (see above). Whereas records of this species from Myodes gapperi from USA ( Rhode Island ) and Canada (St. Zenon) ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ) are probably accidental. It was recorded from: Microtus pennsylvanicus from various localities in USA and Canada ( Ewing 1938 ; Drummond 1957 ; Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ); Microtus oregoni from USA ( Whitaker & Maser 1984 ); Microtus mexicanus from USA ( Texas ) ( Fain & Lukoschus 1977 ); Microtus miurus (extinct subspecies egorovi ) from Russia (Yakutia) ( Dubinina & Bochkov 1996 ).
