Type
locality.
Peru
, Carhuamayo,
4150 m
.
Examined material.
HT ♂ (CSt at
MSNM
); 2 PTT ♂ from the
type
locality (CSt) (Weyrauch legit); 1 PT ♀ from Laguna Concocha (actually the right toponym is probably ‘Laguna Conococha’, in the Cordillera Blanca) does not belong to
Blennidus vereshaginae
, that is confirmed by the study of an undescribed ♂ specimen from Laguna Concocha (CSt), which definitely belongs to the same unpublished species.
Note.
This species is similar, in the external morphology as well as in the aedeagus, to
B. euphaenops
and to a few other species from Dept. Junin.
Distribution.
Considering that the PT ♀ from Laguna Concocha does not belong to
B. vereshaginae
, this species is currently recorded from Dept. Junin only.
