The above specimens represent the first record of both the genus and the species from
Afghanistan
. Previously,
O. chrysurus
was known from
Kazakhstan
,
Tajikistan
, and
Uzbekistan
. The external characters and the aedeagus of a male from
Afghanistan
are illustrated in
Figs 1-9
. The figures of the aedeagus in ASSING (1997b) show the lateral internal structures in a somewhat untypical position.
