and Das’s (2015) diagnosis in having a robust body; head indistinct from neck; single preocular; two postoculars; loreal absent; seven supralabials, where the 3rd and 4th touches the eye; seven infralabials; small eye; rounded pupil; short tail; smooth dorsals; 15 midbody scale rows; 194–237 ventrals; 37– 56 single subcaudals; anal scale entire; black dorsum with broad white cross bars on body and tail, where the black interspaces are much wider than the white bands anteriorly, slightly wider or equal posteriorly and on the tail; white bands scattered with black spots; supralabials and venter white and immaculate and dark brown spots on subcaudals.
