Distribution.
Widespread in Europe (except British Isles and Scandinavia), and ranging eastwards as far as
Ukraine
and the western part of
Russia
.
Status in CZ.
Previously recorded from both
Bohemia
and
Moravia
: Vráž (
Naglis
et al.
2016b
), Lednice (
Vaňhara 1981
) and Podyjí (Havraníky) (
Olejníček
et al.
2005
). There are two correctly identified male specimens from Havraníky (1.5 km SW,
27.v.–7.vii.2001
, M. Barták & Š. Kubík lgt.) deposited in NMPC. The above listed specimen from Pálava (Perná) was erroneously identified as
M. bisecta
and recorded as such by
Olejníček (1998)
.
Ecology.
On rocks or rocky outcrops, in relatively open and mostly drier biotopes.
