Antenna with 21 antennomeres; scapus slender, with tooth-shaped horn in basal 0.2 of scapus ( Fig. 8 ); length of scapus 7.8 × its maximum width, and 2.0 × of head height (in dorsal view); tentorial pits at lower level of eyes ( Fig. 3 ); malar space 1.5 × as long as basal width of mandible; mesosoma 1.6 × as long as its height; propodeum rugose baso-laterally, areolate-rugose medially and apically; first metasomal indistinctly narrowed behind spiracle, 2.45 × as long as its apical width; apical width 2.75 × as long as its minimum width. Description. Holotype , ; body length. 3.5 mm , fore wing length 3.1 mm , ovipositor sheath 0.5 mm ( Fig. 1 ). Head . Antenna with 21 antennomeres; scapus slender, length of scapus 7.8 × its maximum width (47: 6), with tooth-shaped horn in basal 0.2 of scapus; scapus 2.0 × of head height (47: 23); third antennomere 1.2 × fourth (6: 5); second-seventh flagellomeres serrate ventrally ( Fig. 7 ); length from eighth flagellomere to apex of antenna equal to scapus (47: 47); in dorsal view, width of head 1.6 × its median length (37: 23), and 1.6 × width of mesoscutum (without tegulae) (37: 23); temple roundly narrowed behind eye; length of eye 1.85 × as long as temple (13:7); ocelli small, POL: OD: OOL = 3: 2: 8 ( Fig. 2 ); eye 2.85 × as high as broad (20: 7); in lateral view, transverse diameter of eye twice length of temple (14: 7); in frontal view, diameter of antennal socket 0.9 × between sockets (9: 10), diameter of antennal socket as long as distance between sockets (7: 7), face width equal to length of face and clypeus combined, and 1.2 × height of eye (18: 15); clypeus margin straight; malar space 1.5 × as long as basal width of mandible (6: 4), and 0.4 × as long as eye height (6: 16); distance between tentorial pits 1.6 × distance from pit to eye margin (8: 5); face finely punctate; clypeus with dense fine punctures ( Fig. 3 ); frons rugo-punctate ( Fig. 2 ); temple and vertex polished, with sparse punctures ( Figs 2, 4 ). Mesosoma . Length of mesosoma 1.6 × as long as its height (50: 31); notauli deep, sparsely crenulated, widened posteriorly, largely rugose ( Fig. 5 ); prescutellar sulcus wide, deep, 0.6 × as long as scutellum (4: 7), with one carina ( Fig. 5 ); scutellum convex, almost smooth; subalar depression almost smooth; pronotal side crenulated medially, smooth dorsally, ventrally with sinuate rugae ( Fig. 6 ); precoxal sulcus wide, sparsely crenulated; mesopleuron smooth; metapleuron and propodeum largely rugose; median lobe of mesoscutum finely sparsely punctate; lateral lobes almost smooth. Wings . Length of fore wing 2.9 × its width (124: 43); length of pterostigma 3.0 × its width (30: 10), 1.5 × vein 1-R1 (30: 20) ( Fig. 11 ); vein r arising distinctly behind middle of pterostigma, 0.1 × as long as width of pterostigma (3: 30), and 0.15 × vein 1-R1 (3: 20); vein 1-CU1 short and thick, nearly quadrate ( Fig. 11 ); vein cu-a 0.3 × vein 2-CU1 (4: 12); length of hind wing 4.3 × its width (98: 23); 1-M: 1r-m: 2-SC+R = 2: 7: 6. Legs . Length of hind femur, tibia and basitarsus 7.0, 17.3 and 11.0 × as long as their width, respectively; hind basitarsus 0.9 × hind tibia (49: 55); hind basitarsus 0.4 × hind tibia (22: 55), and 0.8 × second-fifth tarsus (22: 27); fourth hind tarsus 0.7 × fifth tarsus without pretarsus (4: 6). Metasoma . Length of first tergite 2.45 × its apical width (27: 11), apical width of first tergite 2.75 × its minimum width (11: 4); ovipositor sheath 0.15 × fore wing (19: 124), and 0.7 × first tergite (19: 27); ovipositor flat, sinuate; first metasomal tergite smooth basally, longitudinally striate medially and apically ( Fig. 10 ), remaining tergites very smooth. Colour . Head and mesosoma yellow; eyes silver-grey; legs and metasoma pale yellow, except first metasomal tergite and ovipositor sheath brown; wing veins yellow; wing membrane hyaline. Male . Unknown. Host : Unknown. Etymology . From “inter” (Latin for between), because this species is intermediate between Streblocera quangbinhensis , sp. n. and S . tuyenquangensis , sp. n. Variation . Paratypes , females, body length 3.3–3.5 mm , fore wing 2.7–2.9 mm , ovipositor sheath 0.4–0.5 mm . Distribution . Vietnam : N Vietnam : Ninh Binh (Cuc Phuong); NC Vietnam : Ha Tinh (Huong Son), Quang Binh (Minh Hoa).
