Synomymised with Megabombus sushkini (Skorikov) by Tkalců (1974a) . Mongolia . Material examined. 13 queens 27 workers 3 males (IAB). Distribution in Gansu. Common at medium to high elevations of the Qinghai-Tibetan plateau in the southwest and northwestern Qilianshan mountains, rare at medium elevations of the western mountains ( Fig. 14 ); 13 localities between 2148 and 3490 m (IAB). Distribution in China . Neimenggu, Sichuan, Gansu, Qinghai (IAB). Forage plants. ASTERACEAE : Arctium lappa , Saussurea sp.; FABACEAE : Oxytropis ochrocephala ; LAMI- ACEAE: Caryopteris incana , Dracocephalum heterophyllum ; RANUNCULACEAE : Aconitum gymnandrum , Clematis tangutica ; SCROPHULARIACEAE : Pedicularis kansuensis .
