Distribution
This species was known from the east Pacific, West Atlantic and Mediterranean (
Çinar and Ergen 2007
). In the Mediterranean, it was first reported from
Izmir
Bay and its vicinity (Aegean Sea,
Turkey
) and considered as a cryptic species (
Çinar and Ergen 2007
). It is new to the fauna of the Levantine Sea.
