Local distribution and occurrence : Kuwait Bay (Al-Judailiat, Ras Ajuza), Ras Al-Zour, Al-Khiran, Al-Nuwaiseeb, Failaka Island, Auha Island; occasional (11%). Habitat : Intertidal and subtidal zones; sand, rocks, shells, sponges, Sargassum spp. , other brown algae, and tubes of blue coral-worm Spirobranchus sinuspersicus . ** Taxonomic note: Stenothoe irakiensis Salman, 1985 was originally described from Iraq but later was redefined as a junior synonym of Stenothoe gallensis ( Krapp-Schickel 2015 ) .
