Type locality. [Fiji] "Vanna Levu Id., Viti Isles". Label. "Vanua Levu". Dimensions. "Length 41 mill., diam. 21 mill."; specimen figured herein H 44.0, D 22.1, W 5.1. Type material. NHMUK 20030801, one syntype, ex Kennard ex Garrett coll. ("cotype ex auct."). Remarks. Richardson (1995: 286) placed this taxon in the synonymy of Aspastus rugatus (Garrett, 1872), without further comments. Judging by the descriptions and figures of both species, there is every reason to consider these two taxa identical. Based on Garrett's 1872 paper, Bulimus crassilabrum has page priority. Current systematic position. Bothriembryontidae, Callistocharis crassilabrum (Garrett, 1872).
