Remarks: Moricand did not indicate on how many specimens this variety was based, nor indicated the dimensions. His taxon label reads “ Helix rhodospira Md. / var. peristomata lutea”, which corresponds to the description. The current systematic position follows Richardson (1995) . Current systematic position: Bulimulidae , Auris melastoma (Swainson, 1820) .
