(2014a) . The genus Maatidesmus is only known in the fossil record of Chiapas amber. Remarks. Living members of the family Chelodesmidae are recorded at the southern states of Mexico , including Guerrero , Yucatán , Quintana Roo , Oaxaca , and Chiapas ( Bueno-Villegas et al. 2004 ).
