Amblyomma rhinocerotis ( De Geer, 1778 ) . An Afrotropical species whose adults are usually found on Perissodactyla : Rhinocerotidae . Adults alone have been collected from Artiodactyla : Hippopotamidae and Suidae , Carnivora : Felidae , Perissodactyla : Rhinocerotidae , and rarely from Squamata : Pythonidae , and Testudines (unknown family). There are no records of Amblyomma rhinocerotis causing human parasitism.
