Type data: Moure et al . (2007) mentioned that this species was described based on a single female specimen from “Rio Tapajós”, northern Brazil . According to the original description, Smith (1874) used a type series composed by at least one specimen of each sex. A female syntype was found at NHMUK being here designated the lectotype .
