Male ( Figs 23–27 ) Diagnosis . Forewing R2 with a proximal spurvein directed backward, R4+5 branched as illustrated, with four veins at wing margin. M branched, with 11 veins at wing margin. Areola postica incomplete, with two crossveins from the nearest branch of M. Hindwing Rs with three branches, and a distal spurvein, M four branched. Aedeagal arch with short, narrow apical process. Mesal, longitudinal endophallic sclerites, each with a row of three strong spines, and a short distal spine on outer border; posterior endophallic sclerites short, stout, with apices sclerotized ( Fig. 27 ). Similar to G. cuasiguatemalensis n. sp. , differing from it in that the forewing Rs has six branches, with one spur vein directed backward in R2, M has five primary branches, and the hindwing M is four branched in G. chiquihuitensis , vs. forewing Rs of four branches, without a spur vein in R2+3, M of six primary branches, and hindwing M of three branches in G. cuasiguatemalensis ; in the former, the mesal endophallic sclerites have each three spines directed outward, and the posterior endophallic sclerites are short, with apices sclerotized, while in the latter the mesal endophallic sclerites have each two spines directed obliquely downward, and the posterior endophallic sclerites are long, stout, and distally rounded. Color (in 80% ethanol). Body brown, with ochre spots. Head pale brown ( Fig. 25 ), vertex light brown, front with two short brown bands from the ocellar triangle; striae of postclypeus ochre; genae brown with ochre spots, mandibles dark brown. Compound eyes dark brown, ocelli hyaline, with ochre centripetal crescents. Maxillary palps and antennae pale brown. Thorax pale brown, pronotum with cream spots; tergal lobes of meso- and metathorax brown with light brown spots, pleura pale brown, with ochre spots. Legs pale brown, tibiae darker distally, coxae with small ochre spots basally. Forewings ( Fig. 23 ), pale brown, pterostigma with anterior and posterior pale brown bands, m cells with anteapical light brown spots; veins brown. Hindwings ( Fig. 24 ) hyaline, veins brown. Abdomen cream, with ochre spots. Clunium pale brown. Phallosome with endophallic sclerites, side struts and aedeagal arch brown. Morphology. Forewings ( Fig. 23 ): FW/W: 2.74; pterostigma long, lp/wp: 3.72. Areola postica, low, elongate. Hindwings ( Fig. 24 ): HW/w: 3.04. Mid and hindlegs missing. Hypandrium ( Fig. 26 ) wide, rounded posteriorly, with setae and abundant macrosetae. Phallosome ( Fig. 27 ); external parameres well developed, membranous, wide, with abundant pores, mesally joined to the endophallic sclerites. Aedeagal arch with short apical process, distally straight. Measurements. FW: 5760, HW: 4250, f1: 1182, f2: 415, Mx4: 360, IO: 505, D: 360, d: 265, IO/d: 1.91, PO: 0.74 Specimen studied .
