Debus robustipennis (Schedl) : Hulcr 2010: 107. Xyleborus interponens Schedl, 1954: 160 . syn. nov. Remarks. The lectotypes (NHMW), and a paralectotype of each species (NHMUK), have been compared by RAB. The species differ only in size ( D. robustipennis 5.1 mm long, X. interponens 4.4 mm long), and no other morphological characters of taxonomic significance. We consider them to be synonymous. The case is similar to that of Debus amphicranoides ( Hagedorn, 1908 ) , a closely related species to D. robustipennis , and Xyleborus amphicranoides parvior Browne , which again differ only in size ( amphicranoides 4.8–5.4 mm , parvior 3.3–3.8 mm ), and have similarly been considered synonymous ( Smith et al . 2020a ). Distribution. ‘Borneo’, East Malaysia .
